Ancestry is a company dedicated to helping individuals discover and explore their family histories, genealogy, and heritage through extensive genealogical research and DNA testing services.
I’m a dedicated graphic designer at DEPT® where I get to collaborate with Ancestry. My role involves elevating email marketing campaigns, refining impactful advertisements for both digital and print media, and optimising responsive web pages. What adds an extra layer of excitement to my work is my global collaboration with a diverse team spanning regions like Canada, Europe, Australia, and the UK. Together, we compose a dynamic blend of creative talents, including designers, copywriters, account managers, and creative directors.
In my design toolkit, I’m well-versed in the industry’s go-to tools like Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. With these, I bring ideas to life, creating captivating visual stories from ideation to execution.
But it’s not just about the tools; it’s about crafting designs that evoke emotions and tell stories. It involves enhancing user journeys, making every click, swipe, or scroll a memorable experience. It’s about meticulously retouching images to ensure they shine brightly on digital screens and in print. It’s about turning concepts into vibrant illustrations and breathing life into animations that captivate and engage.

During my time working on the Ancestry account I’ve been a part of serval global campaigns including New Year, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, The Coronation, Remembrance Day, Cyber Week, Festive, and Boxing Day. In this ever-evolving world of design, I’ve learned that creativity knows no boundaries. It’s about pushing the limits, exploring the unknown, and crafting visuals that not only speak to the present but also resonate with the past. I’m proud to be part of a team that helps people discover their roots and tell their stories through the power of design.
