Marissa Klouwer
While working as the co-founder and graphic designer for May Smith Media in 2021, I completed a branding project for Marissa Klouwer. While working on this project, I undertook the creation of a refined brand identity, which included a new logo, logo mark, colour palette, fonts, social media graphic templates, vector assets, and a revamped WordPress website.
Responding to Marissa’s preference for a classic and elegant feel, I curated a sophisticated color scheme incorporating shades of black, green, and gold. This strategic shift departed from her previous black and red-themed branding, which, while once fitting, began to convey a sense of outdatedness and lacked a polished finish.
Having Marissa entrust me with leading the creative direction and presenting ideas for her brand was a rewarding experience. The freedom to explore creatively made this project stand out for me. Marissa’s trust in the process every step of the way contributed to a final outcome that left her genuinely delighted.

The final designs were meticulously crafted and shared with Marissa through a detailed PDF brand guidelines document. To facilitate her easy access to design elements, I provided a versatile collection of editable templates in Canva and high-resolution logo files. Furthermore, the website underwent a thorough redesign and reconstruction, skillfully executed on the WordPress platform.
